The Island has 3 Car Ferry routes; Wightlink operate from Portsmouth and Lymington and Red Funnel from Southampton.
The Lymington ferry docks at Yarmouth which is on the Northwest coast of the Island and is 20 minutes drive from us via Brighstone. For the other 2 services you will need to head into Newport, the Island's capital town, then out through Carisbrooke turning left at the Waverley Pub for the B3323 road to Shorwell. There is a bus service from Newport with the nearest stop at Limerstone (ask for Muggleton Lane) this is half a mile from us.

The Island Fish Farm has its own car parking area beside the lane.
Anglers please leave your cars in this car park and walk up the gravel drive to the shop.
For guests staying with us please drive up to the house.
Please note no dogs are allowed.

We are 1 mile from the nearest pub and 1.5 miles from both Brighstone and Shorwell, each of these villages has a pub, village shop and post office and that’s it!

This area of the Island is the least populated and developed, ideal for people wishing to escape the noise and commotion of so many places these days. We have no street lights, single track lanes and a slower pace of life, accordingly amenities are limited but that is the beauty of the Back of the Wight.
We wish to attract guests looking for an environment in which they can relax, enjoy and appreciate the unspoilt countryside we live in.

We do not want to disappoint those expecting the normal facilities and amenities found in most towns these days, and would recommend Newport or the Eastern side of the Island to those visitors.
